4. Google User Data

When you connect Google Calendar or Google Drive to Machi AI Work Buddy, we request only the scopes required for the features you enable (e.g., calendar.readonly, drive.readonly, userinfo.email). Our use of data obtained through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect at any time from your Work Buddy settings or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Strictly Prohibited — We never do any of the following:

Use Google user data (Calendar events, Drive file contents or metadata) to train AI or machine learning models — explicitly forbidden under Google policy.
Sell, rent, or transfer your Google user data to any third party for any purpose.
Use data accessed via Google APIs for advertising targeting, even in anonymized or aggregated form.
Store your Google user data beyond what is necessary for the app's core functionality.
Use data from one user's account to improve the experience for other users without that user's explicit opt-in consent.

Permitted — How we do use your Google data:

Read and display your Calendar events or Drive files directly to you within the app.
Create, modify, or delete Calendar events or Drive files at your explicit request.
Cache data temporarily to improve app performance, provided it is not stored beyond session needs.
Use aggregated, anonymized, non-Google-API data (our own app's usage metrics) to improve our service.
Send you email notifications or reminders about your own Calendar events within our app.

5. AI Processing

Your prompts, transcripts, and uploaded content are sent to AI model providers (such as Google Gemini and OpenAI) via secure APIs to generate responses. These providers process data as our subprocessors and do not train their models on your inputs under our enterprise terms.

6. Sharing of Information

We share data only with:

Service providers (hosting, AI gateways, payment, email delivery) bound by confidentiality.
Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
